It starts to turn light pink before noon. Then turns pink and red in the afternoon. They emerge in leaf axils and at the ends of branches with 7-10 decorative stripes. The fruit is round and 5-lobed when mature. The seeds are kidney-shaped and hairy. Flowers throughout the year.
