                By the said Ratchapruek seedlings NSTDA has joined the Asian Herb in​Space project of the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). By sending 360 Ratchapruek seeds aboard SpaceX’s Falcon-9 rocket on December 7, 2020, to be stored at JAXA’s Kibo Module laboratory at Stayed on the International Space Station for 7 months before returning to Earth on July 10, 2021.

                Currently, NSTDA together with Mahidol University and partner units are planting Rajapruek Space seeds at the research greenhouse. Department of Botany, Mahidol University, Salaya Campus, on December 2, 2021, marks the beginning of the project to plant Rajapruek Space trees to record as a historical marker together with government organizations and educational institutions around the country.
