Progress tracking report of the construction of the tree top tower
On March 10, 2022 Professor Doctor Tawadchai Suppadit acting on behalf of the Vice President along with the staff of the Walailak Botanic Park and the construction team, follow up on the progress of the construction of tree top towers and the fence surrounding. The 4 months after last progress, the construction project which consists of Tower 1 and 2, suspension bridge, boardwalk nature trail, canopy skywalk, the fences ,and food beverage tree top restaurant are nearly completed to welcome the visitors and tourists to adore the beautiful nature at only in Walailak University.
Moreover, this place will be part of the outstanding natural attractions in the south, The construction has been progressed about 90%. It is expected to be operated by the middle of this fiscal year 2022. The details of the construction progression are as follows
- Restaurant area
There is additional work casting reinforced concrete to cover the base of additional columns 2 meters high square shape to increase the strength and reduce the vibration of the building and stair up and electricity will be installed. Overall is 90% of completion.
- Entrance arch
The construction according to the drawings is almost 100% complete, leaving the details of plaster work around the stairs. The electrical system in the entrance arch area and lighting to support future usage will be added up. Therefore, it may be considered as additional work or how it depends on the Audit Committee.
- Tower 1
The main structure and reinforcement structure have been completed. There are the details of the painting, cleanliness and the neatness of the fence connected to the boardwalk. We have to cut the branches that blocked the sling holding Tower 1 and tighten the sling. Additionally, it already installed 2 lightning rods.
- Tower 2
The main structure has been completed. in the process of painting and keep details and installed 2 lightning rods.
- Boardwalk Nature Trail
It is 95% completed. Remaining to Keep details of the neatness of welding stainless steel fence to prevent to falling down. Currently under construction for the final phase of the exit linking food and beverage outlets.
- Canopy Skywalk
The main structure is complete and able to walk around the whole area. It only keeps details of the neatness of the walkway slabs. The welds are strong and clean enough. In addition, The TC structure for all 4 poles has already installed 1 set of lightning rods per 1 pole.
- Suspension bridge
The installation of the main structure is 98% completion. It can be used and walk properly. It is preparing for the installation of a permanent grating by stringing and installing the wood fixing nut properly. There is recommended to apply a coat of sling bridge wood to prolong its service.
- Fence
The installation is 98% completion. The entrance area is next to the food and beverage outlets that are being installed. There will be added the entrance door at south of the area with a width of 5 meters for carrying and managing various tasks inside.
