On February 14, 2026 (B.E. 2569), Walailak University Botanical Garden in Nakhon Si Thammarat, Thailand, hosted “Love Floats in the Sky: Season 2” under the theme “Love Signed in the Sky” at the Bota Sky Tower. The event welcomed seven couples who officially registered their marriage amid lush natural surroundings, creating a memorable Valentine’s Day experience and reinforcing the venue’s strength as a destination for creative, nature-based tourism.

MOU Signing to Support School Botanical Gardens and Local Resource Base Initiatives

On March 4, 2025, the Walailak University Coordination Center for the Plant Genetic Conservation Project under the Royal Initiative (RSPG), in collaboration with the RSPG Project, educational institutions, and local administrative organizations, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to enhance the development of School Botanical Gardens and Local Resource Bases.

This partnership includes five schools and one local administrative organization, aiming to promote botanical education, plant genetic conservation, and the preservation of local wisdom. The Walailak University Coordination Center will serve as a key support unit, providing guidance, funding, and training programs for teachers, students, and local personnel. This MOU marks a significant step in fostering environmental awareness and sustainable natural resource conservation among youth and communities.
