Walailak University Receives 100 Safety Helmets from Tha Sala Bike Week to Promote Road Safety among Students

On 17 January 2026, Walailak University, represented by Assistant Professor Thanasan Thepparat, Assistant to the President for Student Promotion and Development, received 100 safety helmets from the “Tha Sala Bike Week” Safe Riding Campaign Team as part of an initiative to strengthen road safety awareness and promote safer riding practices among university students.

During the handover ceremony, Assistant Professor Thanasan welcomed the campaign team and expressed appreciation for their support in helping advance the University’s ongoing road safety efforts. The donated helmets will be used to support safety campaigns and encourage students to wear protective helmets every time they ride a motorcycle.

The activity reflects Walailak University’s continued commitment to student safety and accident prevention, particularly in raising awareness of responsible driving behavior, traffic discipline, and the importance of proper protective equipment.

Also attending the event was Assistant Professor Dr. Pairoj Nuannum, Deputy Director of Walailak Botanic Park, together with more than 50 students, who joined in welcoming the visiting campaign team and participated in the road safety activity.

The event was held at The Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Natural History Museum (SIRIN Museum), Walailak University, providing an opportunity for students to engage directly with the campaign and reinforce awareness of practical road safety measures.

The donation of 100 helmets is expected to strengthen the University’s efforts to build a sustainable culture of safety on campus, especially among students who regularly use motorcycles for daily transportation.

By encouraging consistent helmet use and responsible riding practices, the initiative aims to reduce the risk of serious injuries and help prevent road accidents among the student community.
